http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK - Supima is an organization that promotes pima cotton grown in America (typically California and the Southwest.) It's board is comprised of cotton growers from Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. The group promotes the increase of pima cotton use and consumption. This New York Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz hosted the fourth annual Supima design competition with eight finalists that include new names like Dara Rosen from Pratt Institute and Marlow Larson from the Savannah College of Art and Design.<br />Supima designers used pima cotton it to create unique pink and brown prints, color blocking on dresses, flowing and tiered hemlines, mermaid gowns, and often embellished shoulders to add a little bit of architectural prowess in the clothing. This is a runway of up and comers worth watching.
