Romney bags Iowa in tight finish

It has been an extraordinary night in Iowa as Republicans tried to decide who will be their presidential candidate to challenge President Barack Obama.<br /><br />Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, pipped Rick Santorum, the former senator, by narrow margin of eight votes. The two leading candidates polled 25 per cent.<br /><br />Santorum, who many thought was a complete outsider, went on to give a good fight to Romney.<br /><br />As some candidates bid farewell to the land of corn and cattle and head to New Hampshire, for some Iowa will be the end of the road.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's John Hendren reports from Iowa.
