persian khushi - slumbered view

I am home at last <br />remembering the freezing air outside <br />now smiling laying warm in bed <br />thanking heaven <br />for having blessed me <br />with a roof over my head <br />as i fall into slumber <br />my thought with the innocent little ones <br />the old and frail <br />forced to live in informal settlements <br />my smile slowly fading <br />when finally over come by a deep sleep <br /> <br />looking into tearful eyes <br />skimpily dressed and bare feet <br />little hand reaching out <br />as vision of fades <br />with a start <br />eyes open wide <br />slumber has shown <br />it could have been me<br /><br />persian khushi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/slumbered-view/
