The Delmarva Peninsula fox squirrel was one of the original species included on the Endangered Species list, but will be removed from that list next month.<br /> <br />It's a good day for squirrels.<br />According to the U.S. Department of the Interior</a>, "The Delmarva Peninsula fox squirrel, one of the animals included on the first list of endangered species nearly a half century ago, is no longer at risk of extinction."<br />The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will officially remove the squirrel from the Threatened and Endangered Wildlife list in December.<br />The Delmarva Peninsula fox squirrel is bigger than other squirrels and doesn't typically live in areas with much of a human presence. <br />Previously spanning the Delmarva Peninsula through
