Just one day after Lady Gaga rush-released her new ARTPOP single "Applause" Mother Monster suffers another unfortunate leaked song, her duet song with the legend Cher! We told you a year ago that the two had recorded a song together, but we hadnt heard anything of it until now. Their collaboration called "The Greatest Thing" hit the web Tuesday, but apparently isnt great enough to officially be released. To us, the tender pop song sounds more Cher than Gaga, and sorta like a Disney soundtrack song. Chers chorus sings, "I dont know why youre hurt inside/ Or what was said to make you cry/ I hope that you can see you are the greatest/ Thing to me..." And then Gaga finally comes in a minute thirty into the song with, "When all your thoughts are dark and insecure/ Ill build you a light, cause baby Im sure that loving you has made me better/ I take all your shadows, and make sure that youre light". The girls then harmonize and belt out the song together, and we definitely appreciate this girl power going around. But, it seems Gaga does not. Cher tweeted back in June that the song was never going to come out because Gaga didnt like it. And Cher is sticking by Gagas side. The 67-year-old went on a Twitter rant when she found out about the leak yesterday. (BTW props to 67 year old Cher for tweeting!) Cher first posted, "Just heard TGT! FUCK! ITS NOT EVER THE RIGHT FUCKING VERSION!!! WHY DO PPL THINK THIS KINDA LEAKING SHIT IS OK! Im so Fg DISSAPOINTED". Woah there F bombs! Then in her next tweet, just "FK", and she claims the song isnt the correct version saying, "Dissapointed (ive Sat on fkng song 4 over a yr) NOW SOME ASSHOLE LEAKS WRONG VERSION ! GaGas SINGLE IS GREAT, & THATS ALL THAT MATTERS". We love that Cher is supporting Gagas new song "Applause"! And Gaga showed love back at Cher, she tweeted, "I love you @Cher! Thank you for the support, youre the greatest thing!" Awwww. The only bad news is that most of the leaks have been taken offline as of now, but if we find one well hook it up for you in the description.
