HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jermaine Lamarr Cole, also known as J. Cole, was born on January 28, 1985, and turns 34. The rapper was born at a <br />military base in Germany <br />and later raised in Fayetteville, <br />North Carolina. He gained popularity with <br />his debut mixtape, <br />The Come Up, in 2007. Cole later signed to <br />Jay-Z’s label, <br />Roc Nation, in 2009. His debut studio album, ‘Cole World: the Sideline Story,’ debuted at No. 1 on the 'Billboard' 200. All five of his <br />studio albums <br />have reached <br />No. 1 on the chart. The rapper is known for going “platinum with no features” because of his albums <br />2014 Forest Hills Drive, 4 Your <br />Eyes Only and KOD. Cole created his own label, Dreamville Records, in 2007.
