Green Anole Lizard becomes my friend during a Backyard photo shoot. These beautiful and sweet anole lizards, the only ones native to Florida, are under extreme stress due to invasive and aggressive Brown and Crested Anole Lizards. Here is an example of the invasive's extreme agression:
Crested Anole Lizards Fighting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmYnQO_Csn0

But in recent years the Green Anoles seem to be making a comeback in the Backyard and have been seen mating. See two examples here which also show their ability to change color:

Green Anole Lizards Mating - Female Dewlap Displays
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGG-k_SUzrc

Green Anole Lizards Mating and Changing Color
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZxAWoG86U4

Green anoles are medium-sized lizards with long tails. They are the only anole native to the US. Sometimes called chameleons because of their color-changing ability, they can be anywhere from emerald green to brown or gray. When stressed, they turn dark brown. Males have a pink or red extendable dewlap or throat fan. Males often engage in lateral displays that includes head bobbing and pushups. The toes have adhesive pads on the undersides.

Green anoles are easily tamed and are common in the pet trade. They are active during the day, often around human habituation, and regularly bask head down on tree trunks, fence posts, decks or walls.
