<br /> <p>Staff at Denver Zoo anesthetized one of its resident lions in a video shared Tuesday, June 5, in order to provide it with veterinary and dental care.</p><p>The clip shared to the zoo’s Facebook page shows vet tech Stephanie placing a tube in the lion’s airway so that he can be ventilated during anesthesia.</p><p>“Have you ever wondered how we safely work with dangerous carnivores? They’re first given an anesthetic injection, and then we’re able to safely enter their stall,” read the video caption.</p><p>The clip had earned over 20,000 views at the time of writing.
