Chirpy sun conure copies owner's hiccups

Eclipse, the sun parakeet, has learnt how to imitate her owner's hiccups and won't stop doing it!<br /><br />Carol Zajac, based in Tacoma, Washington, begins to hiccup while Eclipse is perched on her knee, the sun parakeet then begins to imitate her - even bobbing her head up and down as she makes the noise.<br /><br />Sun conures, also know as sun parakeets, can acquire the ability to imitate speech. The bird more commonly mimics noises rather than words.<br /><br />This footage was filmed on February 28.
