Two British women who pled guilty to drug smuggling charges in Peru revealed details of their alleged crime in court Tuesday.<br/> <br />Melissa Reid and Michaella McCollum Connolly were arrested in August at the airport in Lima after 11 kilos of cocaine was found in their luggage.<br/> <br />The pair initial pled not guilty to the charges, but have since changed their plea in hopes of a lighter sentence.<br/> <br />The defendants are working closely with the prosecutor's office to clarify the chronology of events, Chief Prosecutor Juan Mendoza Abarca said.<br/> <br />The pair, both aged 20, are hoping for a reduced sentence of around six years for their cooperation with authorities.
