Birdy's day out! Pet parakeet goes for a ride on owner's car steering wheel

This clever bird flew from a gate into a car's open window - then rested on the steering wheel as it drove away. <br /><br />The tropical parrot named Kimchi followed his mom for the ride in Rayong, eastern Thailand on May 3. <br /><br />He then perched on the steering wheel as the owner, Patamporn, drove to the shops. She said: ''I saw Kimchi perched on the gate and called him over. It was the end of the day but he wasn't tired. He wanted to go for a drive.’'
