Beauty Philosophy - The Beauty ‘Curse’
Wish I were ‘ugly’ and passing by indiscernible
Wish people looked at me with an eye other than desirable

Wish I had nothing visible but the soul, mind and heart
Wish all the attractive and enviable body ‘pieces’ fall apart

Wish men viewed women as human beings not as ‘merchandise’
Created to be consumed with bodies, mouths and eyes…

Wish men were deeper in their perception of women rather than superficial
Wish they chased their inward natural beauty rather than their artificial

Wish men recognized that outward beauty is ephemeral
Wish they knew that heart beauty is much more commendable

Wish all people knew that richness doesn’t lie in opulence and luxury peak
Wish they all perceived that Learning and Wisdom are the rare pearls to seek

Wish all woke up one day from their day and night sleep
And watched their lives fleeting then suddenly weep

Weep for spending their lives in ignorance and futilities
For trusting appearance and neglecting the precious tips

(August 04,2009)

Beauty Philosophy

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-beauty-curse/
