BAKED APPLE & CINNAMON ALMOND CRUMBLE

I hope you like this Baked Apple & Cinnamon Almond Crumble.<br /><br />Simple Cooking Channel Merchandise!!<br />http://www.cafepress.com.au/th....esimplecookingchanne <br /> <br />Share my channel. http://www.youtube.com/share?u....=simplecookingchanne <br /><br />SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscri....ption_center?add_use <br /><br />Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages..../The-Simple-Cooking- <br /><br />Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/SimpleCookingCh <br /><br />Ingredients<br /><br />Apples<br /><br />5 large (or 6 small-medium) Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored, each cut into 8 wedges<br />1 Vanilla Bean, split lengthways, seeds scraped, bean reserved<br />1/3 cup Caster Sugar<br />1 tsp Lemon Juice<br /><br />Crumble<br /><br />3/4 cup Flaked Almonds<br />3/4 cup Plain Flour<br />1/2 cup Caster Sugar<br />1/2 cup Rolled Oats<br />1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon<br />1 pinch Salt<br />100 g Chilled Unsalted Butter, cut into small pieces<br />Vanilla Ice-cream or Whipped Cream, to serve<br /><br />Method<br /><br />1. For the Apples: Preheat oven to 180°C or 160°C fan.<br />2. Mix apples, vanilla seeds, reserved bean and sugar together in a 2-litre, square baking dish. Set aside.<br />3. For the Crumble Topping: Mix almonds, flour, sugar, oats, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl.<br />4. Rub butter into flour mixture until combined and mixture is quite clumpy. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples. Squeeze over lemon juice.<br />5. Bake for 50-55 mins, or until apples are tender, juices bubble and crumble is golden brown. Stand for 10 mins to cool slightly before serving.<br />6. Spoon crumble into bowls and serve with ice-cream or whipped cream.
