Importance:
Being an activist is commonly misinterpreted as giving speeches, attending strikes or belonging to a worldwide organization, when in reality this is far from the truth. Art plays a key role in the world of activism; it brings life to movements and a visual aspect words can't achieve. It spreads messages quickly which is crucial to spreading the word in any social issue; the more people are aware, the more people can enact change This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
