The magical Hat, which the Moomins tried to get rid of in the first episode, reappears, it got stuck on a sand bank in the river, which has turned to raspberry juice. Moomin recovers the Hat and hides it in the cellar, wanting to have a constant supply of juice. Little My drops a piece of string into the hat, hoping it will turn into spaghetti. However, the string turns into something quite different.
When I first started watching Moomin, I took note of the various wild stunts the characters were doing throughout the show, and I couldn't help but think of Jackass, a popular show on MTV where the cast performs stupid but hilarious stunts and play all sorts of public pranks. This is basically a short video which features clips from Moomin that mostly show the characters at play with a my own version of the song Corona by The Minutemen playing in the background. <br /> <br />This is the second version of this video I'm uploading to YouTube. The original was forced off of my channel because SST Records filed a DMCA claim against it for using a 40 second clip of Corona, since they own the rights to the recording. However, that claim was a false one because my use of the song fell under Fair Use. This new version of the video is the same as the original, except I replaced the original version of Corona with one I wrote myself in the MIDI format, then converted into an mp3. Moomin and his friends go mountain climbing, encounter a very depressed Hemulen, sunk in gloom because his stamp collection is finally complete and he has nothing more to collect. They learn from him about a sailboat wrecked on the beach. They start repairing the boat, hoping to sail the seven seas. Deciding to start collecting plants instead. Hemulen gets over his depression, and they all go for a trial sail.
One day two very small guest arrive at Moominhouse. They bring a suitcase so Moominpappa knows they have come to stay and builds a small bed. Everybody is dying to know what's inside the suitcase which Thingumy and Bob guard day and night. The terrible Groke knows, however, and she is coming to get it.

Our friends have forgotten to tie their boat up in the storm and are attacked by hordes of electrified Hattifatteners, who want their sacred barometer back. Swimming about after the storm Moomin and Snork Maiden find the most exciting things brought by the storm, but the most exciting find is undoubtedly made by Snufkin.

After the visit of the Groke, Snorkmaiden finally find out to whom the contents of the suitcase belong, but this only makes the problem worse, and it is the with great misgivings they await the return of the Groke. Only Moominmamma has a plan, but will it work?

Les Moumines vivent dans la vallée des Moumines, vallée imaginaire donnant sur le golfe de Finlande. Ils semblent se réduire à une seule famille, composée de Papa Moumine, Maman Moumine et leur fils Moumine.

<br>Ce dernier est le héros de plusieurs livres de Tove Jansson, qui commence à sintéresser à lui en 1945 lorsquelle en fait le héros dUne comète au pays de Moumine, le premier volume de la série: lorsquune comète sapproche, il part avec son ami Snif dans les Collines sauvages pour rallier lobservatoire et suivre la progression de la comète. Ils rencontrent tous deux le Renaclerican, qui devient lun des personnages récurrents de la série.

<br>Les trois amis découvrent le chapeau dun magicien dans Moumine le troll (1948), et à la fin du roman, Papa Moumine leur lit ses Mémoires, annonçant la parution réelle des Mémoires de Papa Moumine en 1950, centrées cette fois sur la jeunesse du père de Moumine. Il leur conte sa rencontre avec Fredrikson, Chassebête (père de Snif), Bataclan (père du Renaclerican), Edouard le Dronte, et bien dautres, et où il navigue sur lOrphéon des mers, prestigieux bateau de Fredrikson.

<br>Moomin noue une idylle avec la demoiselle Snorque, qui laccompagne depuis Une comète au pays de Moumine jusquà Un hiver dans la vallée de Moumine (1957), en passant par LÉté dramatique de Moumine (1954), lors de la fête de la Saint Jean. Il semble cependant sen éloigner graduellement, au profit de personnages moins timorés, plus indépendants et originaux comme Mume et sa sœur la Petite Mu, une amie fidèle mais incontrôlable, ou Tou-ticki, une autre amie qui napparaît quen hiver.

<br>Le dernier volume, Papa Moumine et la mer (1965), voit la famille abandonner sa chère maison pour sinstaller dans un phare sur une île déserte, étrange retraite dans la solitude maritime, marquée par les mystères et linterrogation sur soi, alors que les Moumines semblaient casaniers et amoureux de lordre, malgré la jeunesse aventureuse de Papa Moumine. Son fils éprouve cependant une fascination croissante pour linconnu et pour lautre, le différent.

<br>Les livres pour enfants ont assuré le succès des Moumines, mais leur notoriété sest surtout étendue grâce aux bandes dessinées réalisées par lauteur et son frère, Lars Jansson, et les séries danimation, en particulier une série animée japonaise de 99 épisodes diffusée en France sous le titre Les Moomins. Il existe même un parc dattraction, Muumimaailma (le Monde des Moumines) sur lîle de Kailo, au large de Naantali (sud-ouest de la Finlande).
